Denomination Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG

We are located in San Pietro di Feletto (TV),  we  are  a  production-run  company family of the Denomination Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG whose hills have recently been recognized as a World Heritage Site UNESCO. The awareness of having on our hands a natural, enviromental and land- scape  heritage,  now  universally  recognized, has led us to evaluate the opportunity of transform the grapes (harvested from the various vineyards located in the area  of  the  denomination  of  property and rent) in sparkling wine.

Regarding the management of the vineyards (with plants also of sixty years of age occurs mainly in San Pietro di Feletto and Solighetto in flood DOCG area), we follow advanced integrated production strategies, in other words agronomic techniques close to organic agriculture are favored. As for the vinification, given the pedological and microclimatic  peculiarities  of  the  individual vineyards, the company uses protocols to maintain the typicality of the production areas, therefore outside of product standardization logics.

The production is divided into three types: – Conegliano  Valdobbiadene  Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry. Color straw yellow, sparkling wine with good structure and excellent taste balance, it has an elegant, persistent but not intrusive, non-trivial bubbles. It distinguishes from other wines thanks to the hints of apple, pear and spices and to the excellent flavor to be eaten fresh throughout the meal, especially  aperitifs  and desserts – Canago, Conegliano Valdobbiadene rosecco Superiore DOCG Brut.  Elegant,  balanced in  the  mouth,  excellent persistence, straw yellow color, fine perlage, slightly fruity final fruity. It has to be eaten fresh and for all meals, in particular with traditional Venetian dishes, sausages, first courses dishes, white meats, fish (Canago is the old term with which we can identified the area where we are, today Rua. In historical maps we can find it until 1633) – ‘Ergine, Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Millesimato 2019 Extra Brut. In the mouth it is dry, (during fermentation  no  addition  of  sugars  is required)  with  fruity  and  slightly  citrus notes, the typical intense floral aromas of wines from the Feletto area affects the nose. To be a “Prosecco” it has an excellent structure that guarantees a long persistence in the mouth. It has to be consumed for all meals, in particular with cold cuts, first courses, risotto with vegetables, white meats, boiled, exspecially of pork (ossada de porzel), fish. (“Ergine” is the nickname of our father) We are like this: we are in the territory, we live in the territory, we produce in the territory and we want our products to be the soul beyond the mirror of all this. Not by chance our company logo reproduces the fern from which the toponym “Feletto” derives (belonging to the Latin “Filix icis”  thant means “place covered with ferns”).

By choice our Prosec- co are only Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin – DOCG – this is because we want the consumer an authentic wine is  proposed.  All  our  production  is  certified by the national quality system of Integrated  Production  (SQNPI)  following  the  most restrictive directives of the local Authorities and of the Consortium for the Protection of the  Conegliano  Valdobbiadene  Prosecco Superiore DOCG. www.castellalta.it
