The relaunch of the Ho.re.ca sector begins “in person” at Host 2021

The appointment for the entire Ho.re.ca. sector will be at fieramilano, from 22 to 26 October 2021. To do business, but also to work together on the trends of the future

To relaunch the entire Ho.re.ca. sector, there is only one appointment to mark in your agenda. Host at fieramilano, from 22 to 26 October 2021. Host, the event that every two years brings together under the same roof all the Italian and international companies of the three macro areas of Professional Catering Bread, Pizza, Pasta and Coffee, Bar Coffee Machines, Vending Machines, Ice Cream Making, Confectionery and Table Technology Furnishings will take place “in person” and in full safety (using the protocols already tested last October). It is a true global equipment hub the one that will take place in the halls of Rho Fiera, enriched by two additional advantages, this year: the virtual addition of the mymatching platform, with open agendas and pre-scheduled appointments with exhibitors of interest, for all those who will not be able to be “physically” present at the fair and who will thus be able to meet virtually; and the possibility of enjoying the simultaneous occurrence of TUTTOFOOD, the leading event for the agri-food segment to exploit the existing synergies between two strongly complementary sectors such as agri-food and professional hospitality.

After all, the role of Host2021 as a key opportunity to relaunch business is shown by the fact that over 1000 exhibitors (from 40 countries) have already confirmed their participation, in addition to a large number of buyers, stakeholders and associations from the major global markets. For all the top players in the professional hospitality industry hailing from all the five corners of the globe, this will be the opportunity not only to put the traditional business events back on the agenda, but also to closely intercept the trends that will mark the actual relaunch of the sector in the coming months. A place to be from where to take a closer look and get a first-hand look at the most modern equipment, make new acquaintances and meet after so many months, on the wave of the current “hot” topics: from sustainability to the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, circular economy, safety all the way to sanitisation of environments. And even more from the new formats to how to rethink spaces, new consumers needs, out-of-home evolution. Being at the expo will be the best way to ensure to get a good overall picture of how the entire Ho.re.ca world is facing the needs of the New Normal.

But Host2021 will not only be the ideal location to see first-hand the most modern equipment and their operation. In its tradition as a trendsetter and anticipator of trends in all sectors, the 42nd edition of the event will be more than ever a place where to get training and learn about new products but also new marketing and digitisation trends. Alongside doing business, in fact, the five days of the event will offer more than 800 events split into macro-areas, including contests with the presence of the greatest chefs, baristas and masters of confectionery, seminars on the hottest topics of the moment and national and international competitions.

As always, among the events set-up by the organisers, a place of honour will be reserved for the great showcase of SMART Label – Host Innovation Award, the competition that has become an internationally recognised reference point, open to all innovative companies and organised by Fiera Milano and HostMilano in collaboration with POLI.Design Consorzio del Politecnico di Milano with the patronage of ADI – Associazione Italiana per il Disegno Industriale (Italian Industrial Design Association). In front of a jury of experts from the world of design, architecture and hospitality, awards will be given to those who are able to offer truly innovative solutions in terms of value and quality in the Ho.re.ca. world.

After the success of two years ago, the appointment with “Pasticceria di Lusso nel Mondo” (Luxury Confectionery in the World) by Iginio Massari is back, the event created by the Master of Italian and international confectionery that puts some of the best chefs in the world of confectionery to face each other in a challenge and discuss the latest trends in gourmet confectionery. Still concerning the confectionery segment, Fiera Milano’s pavilions will also host the international championships organised by the FIPGC Federazione Internazionale Pasticceria Gelateria Cioccolateria (from the Cake Designers World Championship to the World Trophy of Pastry, Ice Cream and Chocolate, not forgetting Art Gallery) and the Panettone World Championship of the Maestri del Lievito Madre; the latter, with the new-entry of a “civilian” jury, will be added to the technical and quality ones and will see 20 master “panettoni-makers” competing with other in the final event on 24 October. Also back at Host, the Confcommercio Milano’s Bakery Association of Milan and Provinces which will host the Bakery Academy. The Milano Bakers Association will provide its contribution in the creation of the best stuffed sandwich with an approach that will include tradition, health and sustainability and with the involvement of the students of the Bakery Schools. Showcooking and tastings will enliven the stand that will host the A.P.Pa.Fre pasta maker members. – The Association of Fresh Pasta Producers of Small and Medium Enterprises. ALTOGA, the National Association of Coffee Roasters and Importers and Food Wholesalers will participate in the Coffee Bar area with the VII Grand Prix of Italian coffee, the World Championship of Latte Art Grading and the Coffee addition – with its itineray event and coffee tasting corner.

There are news also on the Catering front, where FIPE will introduce Ristorazione 4.0, a privileged Observatory on digital innovation for the sector that will share the stage with the seminars of the Horeca Digital Academy, organised by APCI Associazione Professionale Cuochi, and those organised by FCSI on the future of Hospitality.

Finally, the Digital Talks will be back for the 2021 edition of Host, a series of in-depth seminars designed in collaboration with POLI.design for architects and experts of the sector looking for opportunities for professional growth. At the centre of the meetings there will be critical topics for the professional hospitality sector. From the way of creating innovation to the use of tools derived from the analysis of big data, the new urban scenarios, the world of luxury and the implementation of new technologies: these are just some of the “topics” chosen to provide recommendations and practical contents for the profession.
