HOTELEX Shanghai 2026 Concludes with Record Attendance and Strong International Growth

The 34th Shanghai International Hospitality Equipment & Foodservice Expo (HOTELEX Shanghai 2026), a key event within the Shanghai Tourism Industry Expo cluster, concluded successfully at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), reinforcing its position as one of the leading trade platforms for the global hospitality and foodservice industry.

The four-day exhibition covered a total area of 400,000 square metres, bringing together 4,018 exhibitors and attracting 303,576 professional visitors, setting a new record for the event.

International participation continued to grow significantly, with 18,431 overseas visitors, representing a 48.08% year-on-year increase, and spanning 189 countries and regions, reflecting the increasing importance of cross-border sourcing and global industry collaboration.

The exhibition facilitated 1,287 business matchmaking meetings, connecting buyers and suppliers across hospitality, foodservice, retail, beverage, and investment sectors, and strengthening global procurement efficiency.

A comprehensive programme of industry content featured 33 forums, with 501 speakers and more than 11,000 attendees, covering key topics such as market expansion strategies, supply chain development, operational innovation, and emerging industry trends.

In addition, 17 professional competitions were held, involving 1,099 participants and evaluated by 349 judges, highlighting technical excellence and talent development across the hospitality sector.

The event also achieved significant global media reach, with 392 media outlets generating 585 pieces of coverage, resulting in over 3.1 million reads and 237 million impressions worldwide.

HOTELEX Shanghai continues to serve as a major international platform connecting global hospitality markets, fostering business exchange, and driving industry innovation.

The next edition, HOTELEX Shanghai 2027, will take place from 30 March to 2 April, 2027, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
