The Hotel Show Dubai 2022 Opens With A Bang As Industry Leaders Come Together For Middle East Hoteliers’ Biggest Annual Event

United Arab Emirates: The Hotel Show Dubai 2022 got off to an impressive start with thousands of visitors pouring into the Middle East’s biggest trade event to do business with international exhibitors and attend a series of high-level networking events, conferences and live demonstrations.

The three-day event was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group, and Chairman of Dubai Airports.

Until the 26th May, The Hotel Show Dubai will be the must attend event for hospitality professionals to network with key industry leaders at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Thousands of exhibitors will be showcasing the latest trends and products available in the market. With 24 sponsors and over 500 exhibitors, including 31 new countries and key markets such as the UAE, Turkey, Poland, Italy and India, the exhibition will showcase the latest innovations in the field of hospitality in areas as diverse as sports and recreation, tableware, furniture and uniforms.

The Hospitality Leadership Forum is one of the key features and will host a series of panel discussions addressing the key strategic opportunities and challenges that are shaping the regional sector at a time of accelerated expansion and changes.

Some of the key topics addressed today include Shaping the Future of Hospitality and what’s next for Dubai, Sustainable & Ethical Hospitality, Investment and Growth Opportunities in the GCC, and Asset Management and Investment in Hospitality.

“We are very optimistic about the speed of the industry’s recovery and it is abundantly clear that collaboration and co-operation are an integral part of that,” said Elaine O’Connell, Vice President – Design & Hospitality – dmg Event. “In keeping with tradition, this year’s Hotel Show Dubai provides the ideal platform for the GCC’s hospitality sector to align on best practices and the way forward for the industry” said O’Connell.

The much-loved Chefs Table competition returned and kicked off with a fierce battle between some of the UAE’s leading chefs at the live cooking event to compete for the title of ‘Hotel Culinary Team Of The Year’.

The knives were out as each team prepared a five-course meal in a gastronomic extravaganza. Nine teams from hotels across the country, regarded as one of the region’s most diverse culinary landscapes with some of the world’s top chefs, went head-to-head for the event which has become one of the highlights of the annual trade show.

Participating teams include Grand Millennium Business Bay, led by Mohamad Chabchoul, Ceasars Palace Dubai, led by Arivukkarasan Ravikkumar and Hilton Garden Inn Ras Al Khaimah, led by Sunera Perera

Emirates Culinary Guild organizes and manages the competition in partnership with The Waterfront Market, the official sponsor for the competition. It has now been running for five years and it continues to attract chefs from across the country.
