iF DESIGN AWARD 2026: Franke’s New A Line Honored in Product Design

Performance-driven design for professional coffee excellence

The New A Line by Franke Coffee Systems has been awarded the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 in the Product Design discipline, recognizing its performance-driven design and the ability to deliver consistently premium in-cup quality in professional coffee environments.

Presented by the independent iF Design Foundation in Germany, the iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the world’s most respected design distinctions. In 2026, more than 10,000 submissions from 68 countries were evaluated by an international jury of independent experts, placing the New A Line among the most outstanding product designs worldwide.

Design that elevates performance

The New A Line was developed with one clear priority: delivering consistently high, premium in-cup quality in professional coffee environments. Its design is not merely aesthetic — it is functional and performance-driven.

Across hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and high-traffic retail locations such as convenience and forecourt stores, operators must balance speed, customization, and consistency. The New A Line meets these demands through an integrated system architecture that combines advanced brewing technology with intuitive operation powered by FrankeOS and a structured, image-led user interface. Every element is engineered to safeguard premium beverage standards while simplifying workflows and reducing operational complexity.

Rooted in Swiss engineering precision, the New A Line reflects Franke’s forward-thinking materialization strategy. Core structural components are produced from high-grade stainless steel, ensuring long-term performance and minimized waste over the machine’s lifecycle. Selected elements incorporate predominantly recycled plastics, balancing exceptional durability with environmental responsibility in material choices.

As Gianluca Vigato, Vice President Global Marketing at Franke Coffee Systems, states: “With the New A Line, we set out to design a platform where premium in-cup quality, intuitive workflows, and system intelligence work seamlessly together. This award confirms that thoughtful design is not decoration — it is a driver of measurable performance and long-term value for our customers.”

Since its global introduction, the New A Line has marked a strategic evolution in Franke’s fully automatic portfolio. Designed with scalability in mind, it enables operators to protect brand standards, manage peak demand with confidence, and expand their beverage offer without compromising speed, consistency, or operational simplicity. Its modular platform and cohesive premium design ensure a precise fit across diverse professional environments, while safeguarding premium in-cup quality at every stage of growth.
